Tie rod boots.

I just changed the tie rod boots on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ using the Energy's HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane boots. When I got everything back together and put in the grease, I noticed that the bottom did not seal and let the grease come out. Is this normal for this product? If the grease can come out, what keeps the contaminates from getting in? On the factory boots, the bottom of the boot had a metal ring that helped to seal in the grease and keep the contaminates out. Is there something I missed in the change? I did check and the boots are the correct boots for my jeep.
Thanks,
Stlrman

We do list tierod boots under your application but in some unique situations the tierod boots are too small for specific applications. Please look at this link and see which boot might be a better fit and I'll send them your way for you to try out, thanks!!
