Sway Bar Bushings

I recently purchased a set of greasable sway bar bushings.
Does it matter which way the split in the bushing is facing when installed?
I thought I read somewhere that it should be facing toward the front of the vehicle.
Thanks.

Stroker Ace was born to Race.....
In my professional opinion the split in most cases should be facing towards the back of the car. This keeps any road debris or forced road kill chunks to find their way inside the split seam while driving.
I hope this helps and have fun!
