I ordered Kit 5.3115G for the upper and lower control arms on my 1995 Dodge Dakota 2wd.  This kit uses the existing outer shells for all bushings.  The uppers fit fine as did the front bushings on the lower arms.  However, when I began to install the rear bushings on the lower arms (the ones nearest the cab), I noticed it just dropped right in.  The fit is loose enough that the bushing wobbles aroung in the shell.

The O.D of the bushing in question is about 1.490".  The I.D. of the shell it is supposed to fit into is about 1.520".

This has brought my project to a screeching halt.  Please advise on what I can do to get the correct bushings.

Thanks,

Pete

Hello,

According to my data you are supposed to use new shells provided in the kit for the rear lower position.   Did you receive 2 new shells in your kit?

Nate, thanks for your response.  The kit did not come with outer shells at all, just the bushings and inner sleeves.  The instructions were pretty general - indicated that if no shells were included, then reuse the old ones.

What do I need to do to get the shells?

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,

Please contact James in our customer service department at 949.361.3935 and he will get you the parts you need.  Tell him Nate sent you.

I apologize for this inconvenience.  Being held up half way through a project is the worst.  Let me know if you need anything else.
